Maywa Denky and their instruments are pretty mind boggling. The humor designed into everything they do combined with slick, high quality production and great performance make them a perfect inspiration for this class. I like some Indian classical music too. I have seen Zakir Hussain play several times. He is always amazing. Even when he is playing very traditionally, I think he makes the tabla more comprehensible to a western listener. Once I saw him play with his father. I felt lucky to see that in the states.

I’m a violinist so I like the sarangi. Ustad Sultan Kahn is the best sarangi player I’ve ever seen. I have never tried to play one. hmmm…
